As I shuffled through my online social networks I had the pleasure to zone out to this soulful/jazzy record by Supnater. A gifted young man based out of Lawrence MA. who has worked on various independent mixtapes, “The coffee shop” and “Bonsai” just to name a few. I have had the pleasure of meeting this talented young man and I have to admit, his talent is something that I would enjoy more of in todays industry. On his most recent record ”Elixir (summer love therapy) produced by: Steve Cool”, It sets a magical tone through the spacey melodies and chill chorus for these summer days. As Supnater manages to paint vivid pictures of what a beautiful summer day accompanied by a lovely female would be like. His lyrical content lacks ignorance and speaks truth with his own sense of originality, and minus the need to blend in with the rest of the industry. Feel free to check out his other tracks on the link provided.

I finally finished reading this book which has become one of my all time favorites. The author Steve Stoute touched upon many topics from the music industry, marketing, current state of our economy, politics, to culture. The over all focus is the impact hip hop has had on us as a society. As well as how we should take from this cultures characteristics and continue to grow with this common understanding. Ive always appreciated my culture and after reading this it just has helped make some of my thoughts so much more clearer. I was on the train on my way to work and an older caucasian (50’s) gentlemen noticed me reading this book and validated how great of a book this really was. I have to cosign on this one. I highly recommend it. Love..
